with one comment

It seemed that the more the number of Indian banks on the Internet, the more the scams are targeting it.  Not that professional, this scam has “bank” spelt as banl”

Security Alert

Dear Sir/Madam,

In the last few days our security team has observed some login attempts in your Internet Banking Account from Various Blacklisted IP Addresses, and in view of that, your internet access has been blocked to prevent further unauthorized access for your safety. Therefore, we have decided to put you on an extra verification process to insure your identity and your IP Address for your safety and for your Internet Banking Account.

To initiate the verification process, We seek your cooperation by following the link below:

Click On link for Retail/Personal Net Banking Access

Click On link for Corporate/Business Net Banking Access

Important Message

Important: PNB never sends email for getting customer information relating to net banking user-id and password(s). Please report immediately if you receive any e-mail purported to be originated by Punjab National Bank and trying to gather your User id or Password(s) or any other personal information. This may be a phishing mail.

The above is a big joke that is included with the scam.   I have checked the bank site but can’t find any special abuse email where we can report such phishing scams to.   Also I can’t find any phishing information in their web site too.
